INDEPENDENCE?
Hello readers, This is officially my first blog where I will express my true self and share my optimistic thoughts. The topic for this blog is about a issue that strives me into a black corner of my heart. Yesterday on August 15, our country celebrated it's 78th independence day. But is our country really independent?
This is the question raised in the hearts of millions of people protesting for Dr. Moumita Debnath, a second year pg resident at hospital in Kolkata. Who was brutally gangraped and murdered in a seminar hall of her own hospital during her night shift.
1] Why are girls not safe?
2] Why can't we live our life without fear and judgements of people?
3] When we will feel safe and free to go out in our own country?
4] When we will stop feeling that ' I wish I was a boy'?
Is there anybody out their who have answers to my questions. It is such a ironical situation, apparently a city who is world renowned for its famous Durga puja cannot protect it's own daughters. The girl who saved many lives but no one was there to listen to her muffled cries why?
ALL I WANT TO SAY IS GIRLS IT'S TIME TO TAKE CHARGE NOW, 'ENOUGH BEING A DURGA, NOW IT'S TIME TO BE A KALI' AND SHOW THIS WORLD WHAT GIRLS CAN ACTUALLY DO!
let's adopt this policy from now -
'Beta padhao, beti bachao'
